Cicade bases its operations on the production of mapping data,
from the aerial photographs to the processing and provision
of that data.
Cicade has its own planes,
fully equipped with the most specialised aerial photographic
technology. The aerial
photographs are digital and are converted into
an indexed database. Access to this database allows the production
of orthophotoplans, that is
3-dimensional sectored maps.
All the technologies which lend themselves to the production
of the mapping data offered by Cicade call for the most highly
developed systems.
The art of digital mapping is so specialised that we continue
to equip ourselves with the best possible programs and materials,
all of which have been fully adapted for the most efficient
production of these maps. Each stage of the process, from
the taking of the aerial view to the implementation of the
resulting data, is in constant evolution in order to keep
up with the unceasing technological changes in the industry.
Uses: The development of data processing in conjunction with geographical information opened the way to a much larger number of geographical information systems (G.I.S.). The simplification and generalisation of these G.I.S., which began several years ago in Local Authorities and businesses of all sizes, emerged and developed because of the growing need for geographical data. Cicade is meeting the demand for information by constantly investing in the technological innovations available and adapting them to meet the needs of its clients.
